I don't smoke, but if I wanted to I would be in heaven. There are cigarette vending machines EVERYWHERE. Crazy, huh?
There isn't any ID required - just throw you money in the machine and out pops a pack of nicotine bliss. One of the MANY cultural differences over here. For those of you curious how much they are here, thanks to the skyrocketing Euro, they are about $8 a pack.
haha, that is very funny. and weird to compared to our "no-smoking" area, here in Canada. I don't smoke either (did, now don't) but i'm sure i would find a way to be fascinated by cigarette vending machines. i guess they will never make "healthy" vending machine.

I saw those vending machines in ITaly. It's crazy the access they have there. I think our system is better with having ID. It saves some lives I feel.
ReplyDeleteHi Nikki - crazy access is right. Wait till I do my nudity posting (advertisments and tv - not me personally :) ) It is so much more laid back here with things the US considers inappropriate or unhealthy.
ReplyDeleteHi Jello! I haven't been to Canada in a long time, so I didn't know they had jumped on the non smoking band wagon too. I love the no smoking rule - it makes going out so much more enjoyable. Nothing worse than stinky clothes and hair.
ReplyDeleteI remember they used to have vending machines like these in tech school. Did you know gas, liquor and tobacco is rationed on the bases in Germany each month? You get a rations card. Apparently you can't go over your limit (but I think its pretty high for all) If you run out you have to buy on the economy.
ReplyDeleteWow that is crazy. I looove that the smoking laws have changed in the U.S. I get an instant headache whenever I am around cigarette smoke. :( P.S. LOVE the new bike!!!!!
