Fashion Trucks - your mobile vintage outlet

Yes - I'm alive. I've been out of town (again) and have finally returned and will get to stay home for awhile (yay!).

I'm sharing this photo with you to show off my favorite vintage coat. It's orange with navy blue piping. The perfect anecdote to a dreary and gray day.

TREND ALERT........have you seen or heard of the new fashion trucks that are popping up throughout the big cities in the U.S?

Inspired by the popularity of food trucks, entrepreneurs have take the idea a step further and have been transforming trucks, campers and even school buses into portable boutiques. Such a brilliant idea.... and worth considering if you live in a large city.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Le Fashion Truck - Los Angeles, California
Features vintage & hand crafted jewelry

THE FASHION TRUCK - Boston, MA.
Bargained priced new clothing (think...Forever 21)

THE STYLELINER - New York City
Features import pieces, and unique finds from designers. New goods only - $$$$$
Currently heading down to Florida.

THE VINTAGE MOBILE. Dallas, Texas
The husband wife duo converted an old school bus for their style on wheels approach.  They feature hand picked vintage finds.

Outside view......

WANDERLUST. Portland, Oregon
This 1969 travel trailer features vintage dresses and pretty finds.
So...what do you think? Clever, right? Many of these trucks/trailers have blogs connected to their website if you want to sign up and follow their progress.

I forgot to tell you, but when I was in San Diego I ordered oysters on the 1/2 shell and I found TWO PEARLS in one oyster! Can you believe it? I have never had this happen to me before, which is surprising because I've enjoyed my fair share of oysters over the years.

Now that I'm back and settling into a routine -more to come! (promise....). Here is a pic of me in my full service dress last week. I think my stripes look GIANT (plz ignore the mess in my dorm room...).

xoxo
Michelle
