COFFEE IN ONE HAND, CAMERA IN THE OTHER

The landscape is Germany is so incredibly lush. You can't help but feel peaceful and grateful when walking through this spectacle of green. The latitude line is parallel with Washington, so this feels and looks very much like home.

Let's go for a quick walk:

Am I in a forest? No - this is simply the view alongside the sidewalk.

What's on the other side of street you ask? A noisy and very large concrete Flight Line. Turn your head right and you smell plants and flowers. Turn left and you smell jet fuels and JP4 (oddly comforting).

Aren't the leaves unusual?

These smell amazing
Even the drainage is cool!

The tomato plants are for sale ($5) at the Base Exchange and they are very different than what we would find in the states. The plant base is very compact yet the fruit is surprisingly large. Imagine having these sitting on your kitchen counter and picking them whenever you wanted fresh tomatoes?

Little red balls of heaven

The forest looks great - you should take some of those tomatoes and have a picnic in it!
