Water for Elephants and Super Cute Wellies

Guess what? Soldiers overseas get to see American Movies either before they are released in the states, or else during the same showing. Lucky me - Water for Elephants is playing.

Even though the cinema is a mile away (by foot of course), I will gladly hike it to the cinema to see hottie Rob romance the lovely Reese. Doesn't her hair look great? Such a glamorous and romantic look.

Thanks to a recommendation from Ms. Andi at Misadventures with Andi, I picked up the book in Baltimore. It was well written and explains the title of the book, which is supposedly skipped in the movie.

Have you seen the movie or read the book? What did you think? Mr. C tells me the ratings are 'ok', which surprised me.

In a non related posting, I found these adorable Wellies in Seattle at a boutique called Fini. Since it was Easter the shop was closed, so I was unable to get a brand name (or take decent photos). I love wellies and have always wanted a pair but think  the solid colors are so boring. These would be perfect with knee high socks sticking out over the top. Germany is full of rainy weather, so I will be on the hunt for a perfect pair - let me know if you have a suggestion for me.
See the owl? I love love love these.

yayy i love these! believe it or not, my wellies (i have a pair of black hunters you can see all over my blog) are my most worn shoes. thank you Ohio!!! and these are totalllly adorable with the owl on them! :-) i love printed ones, but i learned after owning a pair of printed ones before, that i should stick with solids because i wanted my outfit to not ALWAYS be based around my shoes or boots...and with printed ones, it often took the view from my clothes to my boots. but now, i care less about things like that, and would totally rock them again!

Megan - good point on the boot distraction. I would probably tire of them after two or three wearings.

Hi Miss K! Great to see you :)

Hi Gawgus things. I did see the movie and it was........intense and emotional. There was one part of animal abuse that pretty much ruined it for me. I get that it is crucial to the story, I just didn't need to see it. Ignorance is bliss in this area.

Hi xStroutx. Aren't they the best? I have such a hard time finding cute ones. Its funny that when I stumble on a pair the shop is closed.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Love the rain boots! I have two super ridiculous pairs for the Japan rainy season. One has different colored hearts all over them, and the others are cheetah print cowgirl shapes ones. I pair them with skinny jeans and a filly umbrella and watch my husband try and walk 10 ft away from me. :)
