Copy Cat Styling - I thought I was unique

Like everyone else, I think my style is uniquely me. I love feminine pieces, but I mix them with vintage finds and simple basics like long sleeve t-shirts.

I LOVE:
  • Scarves
  • Boots
  • Grey (all shades)
  • Sockens ('socks' for those not in the loop on German speak)
  • Coats (blazers, jackets, trenches - any top layering piece)
  • Tights
  • Faux Fur
fave

These basic pieces make a constant rotation my wardrobe. Stores like H&M and Forever 21 allow me to mix and match my pieces, giving them a modern look without looking trendy.

The goal here is to keep my the look 'ME' and not 'YOU'. Isn't that what fashion is all about? Displaying your own creativity through clothing and accessories? Who wants to look like everyone else?

I was recently contacted by a company called SHABBY APPLE. They wanted me to be an affiliate for them- and let's be honest here...... I didn't have high hopes. Shabby Apple, really? Who WANTS to wear clothes with the name 'shabby' in it, right? BUT to be fair...... I checked out thier line and you know what? I was completely surprised.

Thier pieces are vintage inspired, and each piece is part of a themed limited-edition collection. I hate to say it, but MY LOOK is actually very Shabby Apple. Who knew? And here I thought I was soooo unique. Guess not.

Let's take a gander:

Surprisingly enough, I already have this dress - and I LOVE it. It can be worn with anything and depending on your accessories, you can wear this all year long. Right now I'm wearing mine with opaque tights, oxford style platforms and a faux fur wrap (red lipstick, of course). She paired her dress with sheer patterned stockings - and yes, I'll be copying that idea. Love her classic readers too, it downplays the sexiness of the stockings. You can buy this fully lined dress for $86, plus a 10% discount (code TRAIL) and FREE SHIPPING by clicking HERE.

The classic Parisian look with the convenience of a one-piece dress. Boat neck and 3/4 sleeves with a highwaisted skirt makes this very flattering, and comfortable with the soft yet forgiving fabric. Clings in all of the right places.
You can buy this dress for $76, plus a 10% discount (code TRAIL) and FREE SHIPPING by clicking HERE.

Simple meets elegant with a back zip dress in crepe de shin silk. Banding underneath the chest makes this dress elegant and forgiving. Hits at the knee and looks incredible with knee high socks. Yes - I said knee high socks. You can buy this dress for $82, plus a 10% discount (code TRAIL) and FREE SHIPPING by clicking HERE.

Dresses from Shabby Apple

What do you think so far? Not bad, right? The prices seem reasonable, and they are very generous with thier discounts and shipping. I'll be featuring them occasionally on my blog and sharing the results of my online purchases with you.

Yes - it will be the good, the bad and the ugly.

xoxo

Lucky! I've seen them on other blogs but have never checked them out since I'm not in the US. I also tend to worry about sizing for us bigger girls...
I cant wait to hear more.

So much fun! Thanks for sharing. I think you can look like someone else's style, but it's how you wear it, and your personality that make it your own. Plus your outfit quirks, make it your thing.

How cute is the little bow dress (first one).

Hey if you dont want to be affiliated, send em my way hehe :)

But I think your style is gorgeous, and everyone has something that makes them unique. No-one will look the same in the same outfit (except maybe twins haha)

Let us know how you go !
