The World Cup in FRANKFURT. Scary stuff......

Several of my coworkers are traveling to Frankfurt tomorrow to watch the American team make history at WORLD CUP TOURNAMENT.

Am I going? Absolutely NOT.

True...I'm not a sports girl, but my #1 reason for not going is PERSONAL SAFETY.

This event will be the LARGEST GATHERING OF AMERICANS in Europe since who knows when. Call me paranoid, but I see the aftermath of our enemies everyday - so you couldn't pay me to be there.

I'm sure everything will be fine, but for those that are going to Frankfurt or to another large city gathering for this special event, please- please be safe, and be aware of your surroundings.

Right?! And sooo many military personal are going. Oh man. Tyler and I don't really care that much about soccer, plus we don't want to spend the money on that haha. I'd rather travel. :)

Soccer hoolgans!!! EEK!
Sweets,"opshopping" is what we call thrift shopping! "Op shop" is short for Opportunity Shop, which is what most of the charity/church thrift shops are called here and in Australia! In the UK they say charity (or chazza for short) shopping. They're run by the same chairty/church organisations you would know,St Vincent de Paul,Salvation Army,City Mission(I think that is the Methodist Church).
Stalk away!!

I would have the same feelings you have. If I did go to the game, I would make sure I have some really tall friends that came with me so they could pick me up and run if need be. :)

I must be a little on the paranoid side too, because I have made similar decisions in the past. Why take the chance? Glad I'm not the only one. Stay safe.
